How to Use the Pregnancy Calculator
Our free pregnancy calculator helps you quickly find your estimated due date (EDD), track how many weeks pregnant you are, and understand which trimester you're in. Simply enter the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and your average cycle length, or switch to conception-date mode if you know when conception occurred.
How Due Dates Are Calculated
The standard method (Naegele's Rule) adds 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your LMP. If your cycle differs from the average 28-day cycle, the calculator automatically adjusts by adding or subtracting days accordingly, giving you a more personalized estimate.
Understanding Trimesters
- First Trimester (Weeks 1–13): Major organ development occurs. Morning sickness is common.
- Second Trimester (Weeks 14–26): Often called the "golden period." Energy returns and the baby begins to move.
- Third Trimester (Weeks 27–40): Rapid growth phase. Baby gains most of its birth weight.
Disclaimer: This tool provides an estimate only. Only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical advice.
